Mobile VR in Marketing – Kawasaki presents the Ninja ZX-10R 360° App

Kawasaki successfully presented the Ninja ZX-10R 360° App at EICMA 2015 in Milan, Italy. Visitors received the unique opportunity to take a virtual ride with World Superbike Champion Jonathan Rea on the Portimao racetrack in Portugal.

With more than 286k visitors in 2014, EICMA is one of the world’s most prestigious motorcycles and accessories trade shows. This year’s event in Milan stood under the sign of present and future, which was represented by Kawasaki’s achievement of combining today’s motorcycle power with one of the <strong>most promising innovations in the product visualization area</strong>.

The possibility to embed 360° videos in a freely available and easily accessible app, offers companies the opportunity to impressively visualize and communicate product experiences directly to their clients. Kawasaki even went a step further and enabled its visitors to experience the 360° view in virtual reality using the VR One, the Head-Mounted Display made by Carl Zeiss.

Visitors at the Kawasaki booth became the unique opportunity to join Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes for a ride on the Portimao racetrack, by virtually sitting on the Ninja ZX-10R. Once seated on a physical motorcycle at the trade show booth, users put on the provided VR headset and headphones and became fully immersed. The 360° view and the authentic engine sound provoked users to lean into curves and accelerate.
